Orki Music Player
Terms of Service
Effective date:
These terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using Orki Music Player, including its optional Google Drive backup and restore feature. Optional feedback follows the content, storage and support terms below.
Your content remains yours. You choose what to transfer to your own Drive. Stopping a task, disconnecting your account or uninstalling the Application does not remove copies already saved.
1. The Application
Orki Music Player (the “Application”) is provided by Shenzhen Shuji Technology Co., Ltd., operating as ByteSailor (“we,” “us”). By using the Application, you agree to these terms, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
The Application plays and manages local media. Local playback does not require a Google account or a media upload. In-app feedback is optional and follows the submission and privacy terms below. Google Drive backup and restore is optional and requires a separate connection, Google authorization and confirmation of the files to transfer.
You are responsible for keeping your device and accounts secure. Device permissions are controlled through Android; accepting these terms does not itself grant a device permission or authorize a Drive transfer.
2. Your content and intellectual property
Only upload, restore or otherwise use audio and artwork that you own or have the right to store and use. You are responsible for complying with copyright and other applicable laws. The Application does not supply a music catalog or grant rights to third-party recordings.
You and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of your content. Using backup and restore does not transfer that ownership to ByteSailor. You authorize the processing necessary to carry out the file operations you request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Application’s code, design, branding and other intellectual property belong to ByteSailor or its licensors. You may use the Application under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license. Unauthorized copying, modification or distribution is prohibited, except where applicable law permits it. Do not misuse the Application to infringe others’ rights, distribute malware or interfere with services.
3. Optional Google Drive functionality
Backup transfers supported MP3 audio, including its embedded tags, artwork and lyrics. It also saves Application song-edit information and separate custom JPEG cover attachments. It does not back up playlists, favorites, playback history or manually added lyrics.
Restore can use the Application’s backups and external MP3 files already authorized for it under drive.file. External audio is read-only through this feature. The Application only updates or deletes backups it created, and checks the ownership and association of cover attachments before deleting them.
Audio and attachments are stored in your personal Google Drive and count toward your available storage. You remain responsible for your Google account, its storage plan and any storage purchases. Your use of Drive is subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google Drive Additional Terms of Service.
Internet, mobile data, roaming and storage-expansion charges are determined by your own provider agreements and plans. Any charges introduced by ByteSailor for its own services will be communicated before they apply.
4. Transfers, controls and completed copies
Confirm your selection before starting a transfer. The backup selection may initially include all eligible songs. Background execution and recovery continue submitted work; the Application does not automatically back up newly found songs.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Back | Leaves the page without cancelling the task. Running work may continue in the background. |
| Stop | Pauses unfinished work. Temporary files needed for recovery may remain. |
| Resume or Retry | Continues recoverable work, subject to network, authorization, storage and system conditions. |
| End this operation | Cancels remaining work and cleans up task-owned temporary files. Copies already completed in Drive or published to local storage remain. |
| Done | Closes the result view. It does not delete completed copies. |
Transfers can be interrupted or fail because of network conditions, account authorization, storage capacity, system restrictions or third-party service availability. Completion is determined by the actual result, not by starting a task. A batch may complete only some of its files.
Restoration of song edits depends on valid, available backup information. Existing local edits are preserved. If saved edit information is missing or invalid, the Application may restore valid audio without applying those edits. No guarantee is made that every edit or attachment can always be recovered.
5. Deletion, disconnection and uninstalling
Deleting a cloud backup in the Application requires an explicit confirmation and is permanent, rather than a move to the Drive trash. Associated cover attachments are cleaned up only after their relationship to the backup is verified. Attachment cleanup may fail or be delayed separately from the audio deletion. External audio is not eligible for deletion through the Application.
Disconnecting stops unfinished tasks and attempts to revoke access. If revocation fails, follow the Application’s notice or remove access in Google Account connections.
Stopping, cancelling, disconnecting, revoking access or uninstalling does not delete completed cloud backups or public downloaded files. Local records may also remain after disconnection. Use Google Drive to manage cloud files and device file or media tools to manage local copies.
Android’s “Clear app data” or “Clear storage” control removes local Application records and also resets other settings and media-library data. Detailed retention and deletion instructions are in the Privacy Policy. We do not promise automatic deletion of all data on disconnection or a fixed expiry for recoverable task data.
6. Optional feedback
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You must have the right to provide it, including any personal information or material belonging to others. You authorize us and our service providers to store, review and otherwise process it only as needed to handle your feedback, investigate the issue and communicate with you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
The limits shown in the app apply to attachments and submissions. Feedback uses developer-managed Firebase storage, not your personal Google Drive. We pay the cloud storage charges; you remain responsible for your own internet or mobile-data charges. Feedback storage is not a permanent backup and is subject to the retention and deletion practices described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not promise a reply to every submission. The app does not provide feedback history, in-app replies or live chat. If you supply an email address or WhatsApp number, we may use it to follow up on your request.
7. Privacy and third-party services
The Orki Music Player Privacy Policy describes Google account and file information, direct device-to-Drive transfers, optional feedback, local records, diagnostics and your controls. Google user data is not sold or used for advertising, marketing or AI training.
The Application uses Google Play services and Firebase services for analytics, crash reporting, performance, configuration and notifications, and Cloud Storage for Firebase, Firebase Authentication and Firebase App Check with Play Integrity for feedback. Relevant terms include the Google Terms of Service, Firebase Terms and Google Analytics Terms. If you use an earlier ad-supported release, Google AdMob’s terms also govern that advertising service.
8. Availability, updates and liability
The Application and cloud features are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability, compatibility with every future system version, or that files and edits will never be lost. Keep independent copies of files you cannot afford to lose.
Features may change or be discontinued, and updates may be needed for continued compatibility. You can stop using the Application at any time. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Ending access does not itself remove your completed Drive backups.
To the extent permitted by law, ByteSailor is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the Application. These terms do not exclude liabilities or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
9. Changes and contact
We will post changes to these terms on this page and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or seek agreement where required by applicable law. Changes to these terms do not replace the separate authorization needed for Google Drive access or file transfers.
